I'm Jennifer Prushan, a New Jersey native and University of Michigan senior. I have a major in political science and a minor in writing, and I have been able to enjoy the city of Ann Arbor for the past four years. I embarked on this project as my capstone project for my writing minor. My teacher suggested to the class to think outside of the box and consider a topic that you would not traditionally get the opportunity to write about. I've always been infatuated by Beyoncé, and I knew I adored her enough to write about her for an entire semester. Thus, I set off on my journey to analyze this icon.
