"Why I Write" Project

The "Why I Write" project was the most valuable project for me. I always enjoyed writing, but a professor never made me question why I do it.

When I began the essay, I looked at the first time I steadily was writing from my own thoughts, which was at summer camp. Then, I proceeded to think about when my writing drastically improved throughout my lifetime, which occurred in college. These two events provided a surprisingly clear comparison of why I enjoy writing, and it was really enjoyable for me to write about. It was cathartic for me to make realizations about how my mother had a direct connection to my desire to write.

I would suggest every student who has a passion for writing to explore the question: "Why do you write?" It showed me volumes about myself and the subliminal feelings that are laced throughout my writing.
